ANM stands for Auxiliary Nurse and Midwife, and ANM nurses are female health workers in India who specialize in maternity care at the village level. They are often the first point of contact between the community and health services, and their work is considered important for providing safe and effective care to village communities. ANMs may work in a variety of settings, including hospitals, clinics, dispensaries, medical institutes, and government primary healthcare centers
